『サクラ大戦』『機動新撰組萌えよ剣』などの近代日本をモチーフとした作品で知られる広井王子が原作・総指揮を担当したアニメ作品。『新機動武闘伝Ｇガンダム』『ジャイアント・ロボ THE ANIMATION』などで知られる今川泰宏が原作・構成・シナリオを担当した意欲作でもある。 大艦巨砲時代の日本をモチーフとした「我が国」を舞台に、超能力を持つ少女を集めた海軍特殊部隊「バージンフリート」候補生たちの奮闘を描く。ごく普通の女学生・海野潮風はある時、超能力「バージンパワー」の高さを見込まれ、新生バージンフリート隊の候補生となる。だが、お嫁さんに憧れる潮風は未婚を強いられるバージンフリートへの参加に思い悩むのだった。 監督： 細田雅弘構成： 今川泰宏原作： 広井王子今川泰宏 キャラクターデザイン： 北爪宏幸 メカデザイン： そうま竜也真崎隆春紺野直幸 ...。When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。
